THIERRY BORREMANS

Born in 1952, he very quickly developed a passion for motorsport and photography after attending for the first time
the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Francorchamps in 1962, accompanied by his father.
For this reason he continued to attend as many races as possible, not only in Belgium but also abroad,
even taking risks in order to get some close shots by taking pictures from the edge of the track.

At the age of 18 he made his first photo reportage as an accredited photographer for the magazine "Virage Auto".
This was followed by another 10 years of photo reportages about racing, some even across the Atlantic,
and at the same time studying "design" so as not to disappoint his parents.
Once his studies were completed he stopped taking photographs and began working
in a Design packaging agency in Brussels.
However he continued to keep contact with the motorsport world as a designer for some of their creations.

After 35 years working in graphic design, and after keeping contact with the racing world (friends, journalists and drivers), he would now like to spend some of his time working on a website dedicated to vintage car racing pictures of the 70's, and perhaps in the future exhibit some of his best work or even publishing a book of his best pictures.

He still attends many car races when time permits.
